Job Description: Nest searchers needed for an avian monitoring and research project in Guanica, Puerto Rico. Positions will run from approximately April to July 2010. Fieldwork will consist primarily of daily searching for passerine nests; other responsibilities will include foraging observations, radio-tracking, data entry, and vegetation surveying.
Qualifications: Previous nest searching experience is preferred but not necessary. Self-motivation, patience, willingness to work alone and in small groups in difficult field conditions (heat, thorns, thick vegetation, stinging insects) and ability to live cooperatively in tight quarters with others are required. Must have a valid U.S. drivers license and a good pair of binoculars.

Pay is $8/hr (40 hrs/week). Housing and transportation within PR is provided; must provide your own transportation to/from PR.
