| Job Description: | GRASSLAND BIRD FIELD CREW LEADER needed for research on grassland bird ecology in the Mid-Atlantic/New England region. Crew Leader will manage a large-scale, multifaceted project assessing bird productivity at three DoD installations in MA, NJ, and MD. Duties will include task scheduling, field crew supervision, nest searching and monitoring, marking nestlings, vegetation sampling and data entry and management. Salary approximately $3000/month DOE, lodging and mileage reimbursement provided. Must have own vehicle. | Qualifications: | Experience conducting avian research in early successional habitats highly desirable, preferably at the project management level (MS or equivalent). Applicants must be able to work independently and be willing to travel extensively among the study sites. Proficiency with MS Excel and ArcGIS preferred. |
